Letter from Alina Saucedo, Missionary in Bolivia

Dear. Rev. Judy Owsley:

Greetings from the Andeans! from Bolivia in South America!

I am Alina Saucedo missionary going to Angola, Africa.

Excuse me for taking so long answering you, I have been in itineration since June visiting churches, meeting great people, then in NY working hard to get the visa papers done ...! I just got back to Bolivia last week.

I want to express my joy and gratitud for the convenant relationship with the missionary work I will be doing in Angola. The time I received the news my heart was filled with grace, simple grace not deserved but there is, like God´s grace thanks to the brothers and sisters of your conference.

God is present in my life and I am sure I can confirm it thanks to each person, church and the conference who made posible to have you near with me and part of my journey!

I wished to have news now, but all changed again, let me share was is going on now.

I got back to Bolivia to get ready to travel to Angola next September, but we received information from the consulate and Bishop Quipungo telling us that in September they have presidential elections, so nobody can go in or out of this country. Besides this, the ordinary visa I was given is only for 60 days, with no choice to be changed as work visa that is what we need.

Today everything is in hold, until I receive more confirmation from GBGM in NY it seems I will have to try again but in Brazil.

It is taking a lot of time and efforts to get this visa, but I truly believe that God will take care about the perfect time to arrive to Angola. It is not easy to be in "hold" but I feel God is using my life to touch everyone I meet, not only here in Bolivia where still I am helping meanwhile as Area Financial Executive, helping women groups, but also the people I had met in US during my itineration time, it is like He needs to prepare more to get ready to arrive to Angola. Meanwhile I come back to Portuguese clases too! Eu gosto the falar Portugues!

Today I am sending you by mail, a brochure I have been using that includes a personal refletion about mission, mission as a bonfire! also you will find some of the project I hope being conected and working soon in Angola. Hope this copies will arrive soon to you.
